I've been gaming since about 1998. I began with D&D and branched out into a number of systems, including Shadowrun, Palladium/Rifts, d20 Star Wars, the many and various White Wolf games...even some of the lesser known games such as Firefly, L5R and 7th Sea. Truth is, I have fun playing just about any game (Firefly was especially shiny), so I generally like to think of myself as a dyed-in-the-wool, hardcore gamer. I haven't been doing it as long as some, I don't necessarily know the rules better than everyone, but it's definitely my favorite pasttime.

That said, right now the game that I'm running is a D&D 3.5 game set in the Greyhawk Campaign Setting. Given my love for and knowledge of other systems, that might change at some point in the future, depending on the desires and preferences of my fellow gamers (and, likely, what happens in the current game). If it does, though, I'll be sure to let you know.

My greatest desire is to bring an enjoyable gaming experience to everyone, rich in roleplaying, interesting plot and storytelling, and exciting combat and action scenes. Not every session will be full of each element, but I like to include as much as I can over the course of any given adventure. The most important thing is to see everybody having fun, so if there's something that's bogging down the experience for you, please let me know and I'll see if we can't work it out.

Also, I'm frequently updating the website here, trying my best to provide a wealth of useful information on the setting, the way I run the game, and information about our ongoing story and the people and places involved. If you find anything lacking, poorly organized, or otherwise hampering your ability to benefit from the information listed here (or if you just have a helpful suggestion!) please let me know!

My email is rivensymphony@gmail.com so drop me an email or a gtalk message any time if you have any questions, concerns, comments or anything else.

Special thanks to Jeff, my GM and owner of this site, as well as Ben, who has been incredibly helpful in the construction of the site.
