
New Weapons of the Realms
Smoke powder, a magical substance that is similiar to our gunpowder is a powerful magical substance that is used as a explosive or in Firearms. No one knows when smokepowder weapons started to appear but it was about a hundred years ago. Some say it came from the East were the Kuru Turans espicially the Shou use Firearms and the use of the famous Kuru Turan Rockets and of course the magical thundercrackers made for children. Then some others say that smoke powder came from the Stars, Either way it was never fully researched in Fearun, only by some Eccentric wizards and some alchemist, One even seening it as the product of evil and put it in code in his research notes. Not unitl the Time of Troubles did it truely get the attention that it deserved. During the Time of Troubles the god Gond fill down as a gnome to Lantan a kingdom whose official state religion is the worship of Gond the wondermaker the god of technology and inventions. Will he gave to the Lantanese the secrets of smokepowder and the creation of safe using firearms technology. The lantanese and a few dwarf clans are prett much the only people who use firearms extensively. The other that do use it is few and do not want to put much money into the research nor developement into these weapons. The red wizards of Thay do have a few grande Bombards and have stationed them in strategic locations most being on the Pirate Isles, but these weapons are are hideously inaccurate and consume hundreds of charges of smoke powder in a single shot. Some Lantanese firearms are starting to drift to other places and a few have been seen in the heartland, but are still rare outside of Lantan.
Special Rule on Firearms and any weapon using smokepowder - Lantanese Firearms and smokepowder weapons are considered masterwork weapons. Lantanese smokepowder weapons will never backfire when rolling a 1 it will only be a missfire and will only need to be reset with a new charge. Kuru Turan smokepowder weapons are not masterworked but go by the same 1 rule as the Lantanses weapons. Every thing else the weapons are not masterwork and the missfire on a 2 and backfire on a 1.
Next unless other wise stated when a max roll on damage is done roll the dice again and add the roll to the damage, for example if you have D4s for damage you roll the D4 and if you roll a 4 again then roll again and again untill you stop rolling a 4 then add all that up as the full damage.
Who ever wants to take these as there weapon then they need to take Exotic firearms weapon and then the name of the weapon. lantanese and the Kuru Turans treat it as Martial weapons, since it is a standard weapon to them.
